USAGE

The motorized ball valves can be used in plumbing and thermohydraulic applications. They are specially designed for use in control systems and metering the consumption of one or several zones of heating, for renewable energy systems, for cold or warm fluids and in general automations. They are not suitable for controlling flammable liquids & gases.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The installation of the 2-way Motorized Ball Valve Actuator TEMPA THERM must be carried out by a professional, licensed electrician/conventional electrician in accordance with the law and safety regulations. For the electrical connection must be used insulated wire of diameter at least 0,75mm and connections shall be within a junction box. The output to the boiler room (brown wire) should not be connected directly to a power load (boiler or pump) but use in this case a power relay.
Horizontal installation with the motor above or vertically with the motor in front is recommended, in the boiler room or in the collector of each apartment. When mounting the electric motor on the valve, the valve body must be clean of impurities and the shaft in the "closed" position exactly. Press the motor gently to nestle it into position on the valve and tighten the screw by hand. Then proceed to the electrical connections as shown below:

• Black —> Phase (L)
• Blue —> Neutral (Ν)
• Red —> Command from room thermostat (IN)
• Brown —> Command to Central control unit with hourmeters (OUT)
• Yellow —> Ground (GND)

If replacing on an old motor, examine the valve shaft for water leakage and/or hardness. If the shaft leaks or is too hard, the valve should be replaced as well.

For any problems, please contact your supplier. The warranty does not cover damage or injury caused by incorrect installation or misuse of the actuator, such as in unauthorised installations or after tampering the interior of the motor.
